Frequently Asked Questions
What's the best way to heal my tattoo?
Steve suggests Saniderm medical grade film on all his tattoos allowing the skin to reduce scabbing and peeling, eliminate early tattoo damage and shear, and get effortless tattoo healing with zero mess, all while providing a waterproof barrier against irritants. From the moment the film is placed on the tattoo you will keep the wrap on for 2 - 3 days. To remove the wrap you will run the area in warm water as you peel the bandage off.
Can I go swimming while the tattoo is healing?
Swimming or submerging the tattoo during the healing process is not recommended. You can only take showers.
Should I wrap the tattoo after I remove the Saniderm wrap?
The tattoo needs to breathe to heal correctly and wrapping the tattoo tightly with fabric, gauze, or other material could slow the healing process or cause irritation to the tattoo.
I like to tan, so can I start tanning after the tattoo heals?
Tanning during the healing process could infect or irritate your tattoo. Tanning after the tattoo is healed will cause your tattoo to lighten. Whenever it's in the sun we recommend using a strong sunblock SPF 30 or higher.
Can I go to the gym the day after I get tattooed?
We don't recommend going to the gym for 2 days after the tattoo. The gym is filled with bacteria and germs that will not be good for a fresh tattoo. Even though you have a second skin on it we don't like taking unnecessary risks.
Can I come in after the tattoo is healed?
Yes, we offer that to all our clients. We love seeing the tattoo when it's healed because we get to see our art in its final stage. During this time we can make sure everything healed the way it's supposed to and if a touch up is needed we can schedule a time to have you come back in.
I have more questions... How do I contact you?
How do I take care of my piercing?
Before starting the cleaning process we recommend that you clean your hands. For the first 2-4 weeks you will be cleaning your piercing 2-3 times a day using a spray saline solution. During the healing time we ask that you avoid submerging the piercing in water during the healing time.
Do I need an I.D for a tattoo or a piercing?
Yes. In the state of Indiana we are required by law to have a copy of all our clients I.D's.
